The After Effect was started in 2020 by students Everette Risely, Josh Dobos, Rachel Battaglia, and Alexandra Tadros on Azusa Pacific University's main college campus. There was a major amount of time spent in the groundwork to making this student organization a reality, because pornography can be a very sensitive topic and feelings of shame and guilt are commonly tied to conversations surrounding it. We want to open a healthy dialogue in answering questions like, how does porn affect you as a friend? As a human? As a single person or in a relationship? What are the harmful effects? Are there benefits? We shouldn't have to know about the after effects of pornography only if we are involved with it.

 

We all deserve education to make informed decisions, especially when it comes to porn.
